- 01Preparing for Your Lash Appointment To ensure the best results, please come to your appointment: • With no eye makeup • With clean, oil-free lashes • Avoiding caffeine beforehand, as it can cause eye twitching and make it harder to isolate lashes during application It’s important to have squeaky clean lashes because throughout the day, sweat, lotions, and natural oils can accumulate along the lash line. Not removing these can affect retention, causing extensions to fall out prematurely. For optimal results, I always wash clients’ lashes with a gentle lash shampoo before starting the application to ensure they are completely clean.
- 02If Lash Extensions are applied correctly (proper technique such as the correct weight and length to compliment your natural lashes), clients are following the proper aftercare instructions, and your not pulling or tugging on your extensions; then lash extensions are not damaging at all! If you have sensitives/allergies to lash extensions a great alternative would be a ‘Lash Lift/Tint” which you can find on page as well.
- 03Our natural lashes follow a three-phase growth cycle: Anagen, Catagen, and Telogen. On average, each eyelid has 150–200 lashes, and it’s normal to lose 2–5 lashes per day as part of this natural shedding process. To maintain a full, beautiful set, I recommend getting a fill every 2–3 weeks, as my fill pricing requires at least 25% of lashes to remain. Several factors can contribute to premature lash fallout, including: • Oily skin or using heavy oil-based skincare products (I recommend to try and keep some face products oil-free, as lashes are an investment) • Frequent exposure to pools, saunas, or hot tubs • Regular exercise • Hormonal changes or certain medications • Weather changes • Sleeping on your face or side • Not washing your lashes everyday By understanding these factors and following proper aftercare, you can help your lash extensions last longer and keep them looking their best.
- 04Yes! With new research and my fast-curing lash adhesive, you can get your lashes wet just 5 minutes after your appointment—no more waiting 24 hours. This is especially great for clients who are sensitive to lash glue, as the quick-curing formula removes vapors immediately from the lash line. When your lashes do get wet: • Avoid brushing them while soaking wet • Use a dry cloth to gently dab downward • Do not rub or tug your lashes For the rest of the day, avoid hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga, exercise, and tanning beds to ensure your lashes set perfectly. After that, care for your lashes by using an oil-free cleanser to remove any oils that may accumulate. I recommend Curacoro’s unscented foamy lash wash, which I have available for purchase.
- 05Lash Extensions love to be squeaky clean! Daily cleansing is key to better retention and healthier lashes. Some clients think that leaving their lashes alone or never washing them will make them last longer—the opposite is true. Oil, sweat, and even friction from sleep can cause lashes to fall out prematurely and may lead to irritation or allergic reactions. If you are prone to oily skin, I recommend cleansing your lashes twice a day, or anytime they become sweaty or oily. I always show clients how to properly cleanse their lashes after a new appointment, and I also have a step-by-step “How to Cleanse Your Lashes” video available on my Facebook and Instagram pages for easy reference.
- 06I do not recommend wearing mascara with lash extensions—after all, lashes are applied so you don’t have to! Mascara can: • Build up along the lash line, making lashes harder to clean • Break down the adhesive, causing extensions to fall out prematurely • Make fills take longer, as extra cleaning may be needed If you choose to wear mascara on your bottom lashes, that’s perfectly fine. Just be sure to remove all product before bed to prevent buildup along the lash line and protect your extensions.
- 07Classic, Volume, and Hybrid Lashes • Classic Lashes: A 1-to-1 application, where one extension is applied to one natural lash. This gives a beautiful, natural “mascara” look. • Volume Lashes: Multiple extensions (2–5D fans, which I make by hand) are applied to one natural lash, creating a fuller, fluffier, more dramatic look. • Hybrid Lashes: A combination of classic and volume lashes, giving you the best of both worlds—the thickness of classic lashes and the fullness of volume lashes. This allows us to customize your look based on your desired style, eye shape, and natural lash health.
- 08Volume vs. Volume Plus Lashes • Volume Lashes: Fans of 2–5D are applied to one natural lash to create a full and fluffy look. • Volume Plus Lashes: These are lighter in weight than regular volume lashes, allowing us to safely apply 6–12D fans for a very dramatic and bold effect without adding extra weight to your natural lashes. Volume and Volume Plus lashes are perfect for brides or special occasions, as they stand out beautifully in photos and make a lasting impression.
- 09Your Lash Consultation Before we begin your lash appointment, I take a few moments for a personalized consultation. This helps me understand your preferences and assess your natural lashes to determine what will work best for you. We’ll discuss: • Curl types • Styles such as Cat Eye, Doll Eye, Blended, or Strip Lash Look (and more!) If you’re new to lash extensions, I always recommend starting with Classic or Hybrid lashes to get a feel for the look and comfort before exploring fuller styles.

- 11Wet Look Lashes Wet Look Lashes are created using lighter lashes to form narrow, almost closed volume fans, which are applied to individual natural lashes. The result is a fluttery, lightweight feel similar to classic lashes, combined with a spiky, textured volume effect for a modern, dimensional look.
- 12Sleeping with Lash Extensions Sleeping on your back is recommended to protect your lashes and maximize retention. If you prefer to sleep on your side, using a silk pillowcase can help prevent lashes from snagging. Keep in mind, however, that sleeping on your side may cause slightly more lash loss on the side you sleep on.
- 13Tips for Long-Lasting Lash Extensions To keep your lash extensions looking their best and maximize retention, I recommend: • Wash your lashes daily with a foamy, lash-formulated cleanser. If you’re prone to sweating or have oily skin, cleanse more than once a day. • Sleep on your back. If you sleep on your side, use an eye mask or a silk pillowcase to protect lashes. • Avoid oil-based products around the eyes, including makeup, skincare, and removers, as oil can break down the adhesive over time. • Brush your lashes morning and night with a clean lash comb. • Do not rub, pull, or pick your lash extensions. • Avoid mascara on your lash extensions. • When lashes get wet, pat dry with a lint-free towel and gently brush them. • Keep up with regular fills every 2–3 weeks to maintain fullness and longevity. Following these steps will help your lashes stay beautiful and last longer between appointments.
